London

18th August – The Regents Park Music Festival – Every Sunday throughout Summer the bandstand in Regents Park will play host to free concerts. This Sunday there will be music from London Metropolitan Brass and NLB City of London Brass, so bring a picnic and enjoy! Free, Regents Park.
31st August – Canvas and Cocktails – Join PopUp Painting for another fun packed evening with drinks and paint. An artist will be guiding guests through a Great Wave and Starry Night mash up. Tickets £39.99 includes a cocktail and art supplies. ME London Hotel, WC2R 1HA

3rd & 4th August – Rock The Beacon – A brand new music festival for the whole family to enjoy a selection of cover bands and emerging talent. Tickets from £10, Barr Beacon, WS9 0QW

2nd & 3rd August- The Gin and Rum Festival – Enjoy a weekend of not only sampling some of the best gin, but some of the best live entertainment and food around. Tickets from £12, Manchester Cathedral, M3 1SX
10th – 11th August – Caribbean Carnival of Manchester – The North West’s biggest celebration of Caribbean culture comes to Alexandra Park. Spend the weekend enjoying steel bands, floats and folklore characters. Alexandra Park, M16 7JL
31st August – Star Shaped Festival – Relive the glory years of the 90s by grabbing yourself a ticket to this day festival. Listen to the likes of Cast, Dodgy and Space whilst sipping on an ice cold bottle of hooch. Tickets £37.50, O2 Manchester Ritz, M1 5NQ

Leeds
4th August – Leeds Pride Parade – Yorkshire’s biggest celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans life. Enjoy the colourful parade as well as other festivities. Free, Parade starts at Millennium Square, LS2 3AD

23rd – 27th August – Leeds Opera Festival – A festival run by the Northern Opera Group. The line up includes a range of entertainment such as concert, Shakespeare adaptions and talks. Various prices, and locations.
