PopUp Painting’s ‘artist of the week’ is Daniella Sunflower.
Daniella Sunflower is an artist based in Corona, California, USA.
The artist specialises in acrylic painting, using bold lines and bright colours to create her work. The use of bold colours gives a graphic feel to Daniella’s paintings, which often echoes the style of Pop Art. That said, the artist is experimental in her approach and often plays with thicker and more textured brushstrokes on the canvas. The content of Daniella’s work centres around portraits of animals and people and images of nature, in particular sunflowers. PopUp Painting have been very grateful to use one of Daniella’s wonderful sunflower paintings as inspiration at our events and our guests love painting in her style!
Daniella Sunflower received a Makeup/Special FX Diploma from Blanche Macdonald Centre (Vancouver, Canada), a Theatre and Film Production Diploma from Douglas College (New Westminster, Canada) and a Hair Design Diploma from John Casablancas (Vancouver, BC).
The artist currently works part time from home commissioning paintings and selling them on her Etsy store.
