PopUp Painting’s ‘artist of the week’ is team member Anna Tveritinova.
Anna Tveritinova is a mixed media artist who lives and works in London.
Anna studied drawing at the ‘Royal Drawing School’, a Foundation Diploma at ‘City & Guilds London Art School’ and has received awards from both of these prestigious institutions.
Tveritinova’s practice takes the form of mixed media work which includes drawing, painting, sculpture, etching and film. In her work the artist explores a sense of place and the narratives that exist in ordinary situations. Tveritinova herself explains that her:
‘interest lies with light, colour, texture of the world, relationship between elements of a place and people, the way people perceive these scenes through brief glances of details, how they respond emotionally and how they form memories of those experiences’
The artist’s paintings in particular evoke a sense of uncanny intimate moments.
