PopUp Painting’s ‘artist of the week’ is Charlotte Ellinas.
Charlotte Ellinas is a London based artist who is both an artist and events assistant for the PopUp Painting team.
Charlotte works in a representational style, focusing predominantly on portraiture. The artist studied a foundation course at London Fine Art Studios and also holds a BA in Classics and Archaeology from UCL.
As well as recreating some of the most famous paintings in the world at PopUp Painting events, Charlotte enjoys depicting some of the most famous faces in the world too. The artist has drawn and painted everyone from Taylor Swift to Twiggy! Charlotte’s talent has even seen ‘Marina and the Diamonds’ reposting a portrait Ellinas did of the singer on her own Facebook page, check it out here. Charlotte uses primarily coloured pencil to create her amazing portraits, but also experiments with watercolour and biro too.
