Artist of the Week: Charlotte Farmer

PopUp Painting’s artist of the week is Charlotte Farmer.

Charlotte Farmer is a London based illustrator. The artist graduated in 2006 with an MA in communication design from Central St Martins and has been working as freelance illustrator ever since, combining this with making screen prints at Spike Print Studio, Bristol. The artist makes bold, stylised illustrations that depict everything from animals to ice cream cones. Farmer uses carbon paper to create the detailed drawings that either become the stencils for her screen prints or the starting point of illustrations. Charlotte Farmer has illustrated 2 colouring books for adults: The Hipster Colouring Book and The Passive Aggressive Colouring Book.

The artist has worked for clients that have included Air France, Clinique, Superdrug, Waitrose, Glamour, Tatler, New House Textiles, Magpieline, Crate & Barrell and Baileys.
