The Horniman at Hays is one of many rare gems in the Nicholson’s collection of great British pubs, reputed for their distinctive buildings, intriguing history and vibrant atmosphere. The area, along the south bank of the Thames was historically known as the ‘Larder of London’. The pub is on the site of the tea warehouse owned by Frederick Horniman, a famous tea dealer, and Hay’s Wharf was the largest and oldest wharf in the Port of London.
