The Royal Watercolour Society has currently opened their Autumn show. Showcasing work themed around London.
London has been the home of the Royal Watercolour Society since its foundation in 1804. Originally exhibiting in Pall Mall, then moving to Conduit Street in Mayfair (1938) before finally relocating to Bankside (1980), the Society has engaged with London for over 200 years.
Their members have been inspired by its people, history, architecture, diversity and the many opportunities for artistic exploration and expression. London – A Sense of Place is a chance for the RWS to exhibit the works they have made in response to this extraordinary city.
The RWS has a full events programme taking place throughout this exhibition. If you are feeling inspired and fancy trying your hand at your own London piece. Then book your place now on a PopUp Painting night out.
