This week we have run 6 events, with another one coming up on the Southbank tonight.
We’ve been all the way from Wimbledon to Bromley, painting Munchs, Van Goghs and even Mona Lisas!
In the spirit of Halloween, we were at The Shortlands Tavern, Bromley, on Monday for a night inspired by Munch’s ‘Forest’. This was the first time we’ve done this painting, and also the first play of our new Halloween playlist!
On Tuesday night we continued our Munch-mania (his name is pronounced Munk!) at The Jam Tree in Clapham where we painted The Scream. It was a complete sell out and we were joined by an absolutely delightful group! You can see all the photos from that event on our Facebook page, here.
While that event was going on we were also in Wimbledon, at the Dog & Fox kicking off Poppies season; and at The Albany on Great Portland Street for our very first Mona Lisa inspired event! They look great – right?
We’ll be running a series of Poppies inspired events right across London in November, with most tickets including a £5 donation to Help For Heroes (check ticket for details). Click here to find out more about PopUp Painting Poppies events near you!
Then on Thursday we had our very first event at The Old Ship W6 in Hammersmith. This venue is lovely and bright, and right alongside the river. (Plus, their chips are absolutely excellent!)
We were painting Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ (our most popular theme) and it was a really lovely night. We’ll next be at The Old Ship on Thursday 26th November for ‘Paint like Banksy!’.
Friday night saw our return to Urban Meadow (Bayswater) for a night inspired by Wassily Kandinsky’s ‘Autumn Study Near Oberau’. The rest of our pictures from this night are on the way, but below is my painting! I’m not an artist (really!) but I’m pretty chuffed with that!
Finally we’ll be ending our week at Brasserie Blanc on the Southbank tonight with some inspiration from Munch’s ‘The Scream’. You’ve still got time to book. Tickets include all art supplies, a glass of wine, and a selection of delicious French antipasti! Just click here to get your place!
Throughout the week we’ve been sharing the work of Debra Collis, a mosaic artist and PopUp Painting team member. Please do check out our blog post about her and explore her work!
Have a great Halloween!
