Today marks the 85th anniversary of the iconic Audrey Hepburn. Born in 1929 in Ixelles, Belgium, Hepburn became one of the most legendary stars of the 20th Century.

Among her vast filmography, she is perhaps best known for her work in classics such as Breakfast At Tiffany’s, Roman Holiday, and My Fair Lady. Hepburn is an enduring icon of sophistication and style, and is considered one of the most beautiful women to have ever lived.
As well as her work in the Golden Age of Hollywood, Hepburn dedicated a lot of her life to humanitarian causes, working in Africa, South America and Asia. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992 to commemorate her work with UNICEF.

To commemorate this extraordinary lady, PopUp Painting will be running an Audrey Hepburn themed event on Tuesday 6th May at Friends Of Mine, Beckenham. You can see details of the event here – book soon as places are limited! Don’t worry if you think you can’t paint (especially as this is painting for fun!) – take some reassurance from Audrey, who loved to help others. “Nothing is impossible. The word itself says “I’m possible”!”.
PopUp Painting events are social painting experiences, giving everybody the opportunity to unleash their creativity. One of the most creative things to do in London, our events are aimed at people who aren’t artists who want to have fun trying something different. Perfect for friends, for colleagues, or great date ideas. This isn’t an art class: this is social painting!
