About Us

PopUp Painting & Events was established in January 2013, seeing its launch at The Soho Hotel, London in April 2013. Since then, PopUp Painting has gone on to establish itself across London, Birmingham, Brighton and in St. Albans with more than 25 partner venues. As a pop-up company we can run events anywhere in the UK, including work places and homes.

PopUp Painting aims to bring art out of the classroom and gallery and into the places where people meet on an everyday basis. We recognise the benefits of creativity in people’s lives for both personal and professional development.

PopUp Painting events are led by qualified and practicing artists, who are experienced in teaching, events and leisure. Supporting our artists are a team of friendly professionals who are experts in events management, marketing and team building.

PopUp Painting events are not art classes, but art entertainment experiences, giving people the opportunity to try something new and unleash their creative energy in an informal and friendly  environment. We use popular and iconic pieces of artwork as inspiration for our events and our artists provide step by step guidance for guests. However, people are free to paint whatever they wish, with our artists available to provide as much or as little support as people want.

Our events typically last two and a half hours, including a break (drink and dry time!).  Our guests paint on canvas, using desktop easels and acrylic paints. At the end of the evening guests take their completed canvasses home.

All our venues provide refreshments for purchase and guests need bring nothing with them but their imagination.
